BoomCraft is a creative open-world exploration game that borrows the mechanics from the infamous Minecraft and reduces them to their minimum expression. It offers you an experience that follows the original game to a T, but it lacks so many elements that it's not fully enjoyable.
The BoomCraft mechanics are similar to those of Minecraft: you can control your character and move it around the popular squared world using the joystick located on the left side of the screen. Besides that, you can only perform two actions: get rid of blocks or place them. This last one is really similar to Minecraft's creative mode because you'll have an unlimited number of blocks that you can place and getting rid of them can be done with the tap of a button.
The main problem with BoomCraft is when it comes to the variety it offers. The game only offers one type of block: the ground block. As you can imagine, that hugely limits your creative options from what's ironically its only game mode: the creative mode.
BoomCraft works well, although all due to its deficiencies, you'll probably find any other Minecraft-inspired name a lot more enjoyable.
